About the Journal

Advancements in Agricultural Development (ISSN 2690-5078) is an open-access journal publishing social science research in the context of food, agriculture, and natural resources. The journal was started to complement existing journals in agricultural education, extension education, human capacity building, diffusion of innovations, leadership, and communication. We publish theoretically and conceptually sound articles focused on practical outcomes in the context of food, agriculture, and natural resources. We accept quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research. Research can be conducted anywhere in the world.

Advancements was chosen to emphasize improvements in practical outcomes. Agricultural Development was chosen as an inclusive term to include the breadth of the agricultural education, extension education, human capacity building, diffusion of innovations, leadership, and communication. Omitting the word “Journal” was done to intentionally differentiate AAD from related journals. Advancements in Agricultural Development is indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Google ScholarROAD, and Ulrichs
